The rests - the pauses - in between the notes make the symphony. The pauses at the top of each inhale, and at the bottom of each exhale, are our inspiration. The savasana after each yoga practice, and the off days of our workouts, are our integrations. They make us sound, beautiful, and strong. We just have to remind our trantrumy egos to enjoy the silence. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m happy you’ve let go of the load. It’s a nice reminder for the rest of us to do that.
Pause- universe wanted me to hear this. After decades of doing-doing-doing…pause is what soul is craving for. At this point you inspired me to write. Thank you! Best wishes for your new journey!
Thank you for this, I’ve been struggling and thinking a lot about the search for the top of the corporate ladder and whether there’s anything actually up there worth having?
Bryan - this resonates with my soul dear friend. The loss of both parents in the last three years had me running from myself , my family , the world. I have moved back home after five years , full circle so to speak. Sitting in the stillness , feeling the emotions , and falling more in love with myself. In the stillness , the pause , is where I found Me!!! I’m proud of you!! May our words motivate others to realize that love truly wins!
Hey Nazim, appreciate that. It’s been a wild, eye-opening ride, and, I wouldn't have it any other way. Growth is a strange beast, messy, exhilarating, and non-negotiable. Hope you’re thriving in your own transitions. Let’s catch up soon
It's much warmer here on the coast most of the year. When we first moved, I added the US and Portugal to my LinkedIn headline, which is true since we keep a place in Arizona. :-)
THIS! Very powerful. Very applicable to my current journey. “The moments along the way matter.” Yes they do!! I start my day with a pause but I like the idea of intentionally incorporating them every 3 hours. Thanks 🙏🏽
This deeply touches my heart and I feel connected to you on many levels. I've been involved in the Gene Keys teachings for 15 years now and the main technique we us is contemplation, which always starts with a pause. The pause is the main building block of transformation. I harvest them, welcome them and build my whole life around them. First you start by pausing every three hours for 3 minutes - then these pauses seem to connect like a thread beyond time and space and then you never exit it. Your whole life becomes one of contemplation and transformation. It's soft and gentle. Out of these pauses comes dynamism - dynamic action that is fueld by the stillness of the pause.
It's a beautiful path of insight and inspiration. Oh well... let's sing praises on the endless beauty of the pause. 🥰
Currently paused. Great piece. 😎
A beautiful read. Thank you.

Thanks my friend!

Really loved this Bryan. Your heart was so evident in each of the vignettes you shared.

Bryan, so much I’d like to say, but perhaps on FT soon. Nicely written, and I love your vulnerability. ❤️
Thank you! That means so much. FT soon sounds perfect. ❤️
Hi Bryan!
Interesting how Substack surfaced you somehow in my feed…
Hey hey! Love it, miss you my friend!
So proud and happy for you, fellow traveler!
Thank you! Grateful to be on this journey together.

What a great thing to hear, Bryan. What a remarkable turnaround.
Have you moved to Portugal? Where specifically are you? I moved to Madrid last year. We were in Ericeira and Lisbon last year.
Thank you, Mike. Congrats on your move! We live right in the heart of Lisbon. Give me a shout when you are back next. How do you like Madrid?
I will surely look you up. Madrid is fantastic. A bit cold this winter, tho. 30-50F. It's warmer by the coast, right?
Are you going to change your location on LinkedIn? I did, but I had to think about it first.

I struggled with what to do but I am ;ermanent in Spain now so I changed it.
I added the Spanish and US flags at the end of my name for a while. It did not display well for some so I pulled them.

Mike, thank you for being a founding member! I love that this resonated - as you know, those pauses change everything.

This is powerful. I'm generally aware of Gene Keyes, which fascinates me! And I love the idea of pauses weaving into something infinite. Thank you. 🙏
Brian, this is beautiful and peaceful. I'm so happy for you. Keep sharing!
Thank you, Nancy. Means everything. I will.
