Yes, more evidence for those who need it, that life is not about the destination but much more about the journey. Once the goals are achieved, then what? Looking forward to more adventures along this road on this 86th trip around the sun, 87 come June. The plan is to keep on keeping on, and celebrating along the way. "It's not how many years in our life but how much life in our years." (Can't remember who said that originally, don't think it was Lincoln.)

Gary, your wisdom shines through, and I wholeheartedly embrace the idea that life's richness lies in the journey, not just the destination—looking forward to celebrating you on this incredible 86th trip around the sun, gearing up for the joyous 87th!

Thanks, Bryan. My Dad had a sign in his basement workshop, from an old German proverb, "We get too soon old and too late smart." I've been operating on the premise it's never too late and time is merely a construct, an invention for our convenience. That, plus time is a gift that keeps on giving, so I keep on ticking.

So true for a lot of us. A momentary delight at arriving at our destination, yet it’s fleeting. It’s the journey that made us better people.

Indeed, the fleeting joy of reaching a destination pales in comparison to the transformative growth experienced throughout the entire journey.
